Hey Folkies

Thanks for visiting my website. I'm still busy with recording a fretless gourd and tackhead/open back banjo cd. This week I recorded Fiddlin' John Carson's version of "Cotton Eyed Joe" (in dDF#AC), and Joe Burchfield's "Brown's Dream" (eDF#AC).

I'm recording these pieces and more on a Grain Measure banjo made by Jeff Menzies. Check out his site at jeffreymenzies.com

I'm also recording pieces for this new cd with a David Hyatt gourd, a Bob Thornburg gourd and a Bob Thornburg grain measure banjo. Each of these banjos has a distinctively FUNKY tone that sounds cool with the archaic blues pieces I'm recording. You can watch me playing a few of these banjos by going to my Links page.
